Sikagard®-75 EpoCem®

Superfine Epoxy Cement Sealing Mortar and Temporary Moisture Barrier

Sikagard®-75 EpoCem® is a 3-component epoxy-modified cementitious sealing and levelling mortar, suitable for application to most mineral based substrates.
Its specific balanced formulation ensures that the properties of the hydrated cement are both complemented and enhanced by the integral epoxy mortar.

Usage

Used on both vertical and horizontal surfaces of concrete, mortar or stone, the thixotropic mortar can be applied as a thin layer coating,
0.5-2 mm thick or as a scraping/ levelling mortar to fill in blow holes, shallow honey combing and other surface irregularities. Its ability to provide a temporary moisture barrier provides and ideal substrate for subsequent epoxy coatings.

12 months from date of production if stored in undamaged and unopened original sealed bag.

Approximately 2.5 to 3.5 kg/m2 for a thickness of 1.0 to 1.5 mm.
Application steps

MIXING

Shake component A (white liquid) briefly and pour into Component B (plastic container) and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour the mixture
(A+B) into a 25 -30 litre pail and add Component C. Mix thoroughly for at least 3 minutes using a low speed electrically driven paddle/stirrer until a smooth homogenous consistency is achieved.

Note that the consistency can be adjusted to suit the particular application by reducing the Component C content by up to 15%.

 

APPLICATION

Sikagard®-75 EpoCem® can be applied by steel trowel, spatula etc., to the prepared dry or damp substrate. Work the material well into the substrate to ensure complete filling of voids etc., and intimate surface contact.
Following initial set a fine surface finish can be achieved by finishing with a damp sponge or suitable brush.
A fine gripping surface finish is recommended for subsequent epoxy coatings.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools with water immediately after use. Once cured,Sikagard®-75 EpoCem® can only be removed mechanically.
